Christopher Craun - Family Law
Christopher Craun is an experienced Family and Criminal Law attorney. He has practiced law in North East Florida in excess of 29 years.
His Family Law experience includes: dissolution of marriage, injunctions, child support, child custody, alimony, equitable distribution, business and intangible asset valuation, mediation, marital settlement agreements, trial and appeal. His representation often extends to include related or associated cases in Dependency and Criminal Court.
Mr. Craun’s criminal experience includes State and Federal cases from accusation and arrest to jury trial and subsequent appeal. His jury trial experience includes the use of and challenge to scientific evidence (which includes DNA and fiber evidence), physical evidence, and circumstantial evidence. His overall experience extends from Juvenile Delinquency to post conviction relief on Death Row.
After graduating from David Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Psychology, Mr. Craun received his Master of Public Health degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He culminated his education by receiving his Juris Doctorate degree from The Cumberland School of Law of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.
He is a former Assistant State Attorney who was trained under the tutelage of members of the same team which tried and convicted famed serial killer, Ted Bundy. He has been a Certified Law Enforcement Instructor at North Florida Community College, in Madison, Florida, and was a Certified Parenting and Positive Divorce Resolution course instructor at Florida Gateway College, in Lake City, Florida for 18 years.
He is very involved in his community. He also enjoys playing guitar and piano, painting, mountain biking, sailing, camping and the outdoors, restoration of anything that contains an internal combustion engine, and construction projects.
He and his lovely wife, Angelique, share six adult children, a son-in-law, and one middle-schooler. As of yet, they have no grandchildren, but are hopeful!
